We are delighted to tell you about our Annual Polity Golf Tournament! This event is one of many popular traditions of the Jacobs School of Medicine Polity.
The golf tournament is always a big hit. With students joining us from all four medical years, and many bringing guests, the event typically has around 150 people and sells out fast!
Each year’s tournament takes place in the Fall, usually in early October.
Money raised from this event continues to benefit the Medical Student Polity and the 30+ student-run organizations and programs we support. These programs aim to supplement classroom education in a variety of ways: enhancing community involvement by means of free medical clinics both within Buffalo and internationally, providing exposure to a variety of medical specialties, and encouraging involvement with various national medical organizations, conferences, and workshops.
Medical students will be able to register for themselves and guests (student or non-student) online. Registration information will be sent to all students as the event approaches. Students will be placed in teams of four. You will be able to either choose your team of four, and indicate “no preference,” and we will place you in a team.
Each person must fill out their own registration form. Only one student ticket may be purchased per student. Thanks to the Office of Advancement and the generosity of the John A. Wendel Foundation we are able to offer discounted tickets to students. You may not purchase student tickets for friends. If you would like a friend to accompany you they must fill out the individual registration form and pay full price for their ticket.
We graciously accept donations from individuals, groups, companies, and organizations. Those who donate will receive various forms of advertisement for their group/organization/company. As this event is highly attended, those who choose to donate often enjoy the advertisement perks. To learn more about donating to this great event visit our Donations page. We are very grateful for your generosity and thoughtfulness.
