Friends of Night People hosts a free medical clinic in the the Allentown area of Buffalo. Upstairs from the soup kitchen there are several exam rooms where patients are seen by volunteer medical students alongside a supervising physician. Volunteering with us is a great way to gain valuable experience and exposure, help those in Buffalo with the greatest need, and have some fun doing it!
"Friends of the Night People is a charitable organization that helps the poor, homeless and destitute in Buffalo, New York. We provide food, clothing, medical care, counseling and hope to those in need. All services are provided free of charge without a sliding income scale. We rely on the generosity of our volunteers and contributors. Please consider a donation of time, money or food and clothing to our cause so that we will continue to be able help our neighbors."
The address is 394 Hudson Street, Buffalo and the building is at the corner of Hudson and Wadsworth. There is street parking on Hudson and on St Johns Place, but please be aware of the one way streets in this area. Do not park in the lot across the street.
Enter through the side entrance on Wadsworth, head left past the kitchen, straight through the family dining area to the back corner, through the door, and up the stairs for the clinic. White coat is not necessary, but please bring your stethoscope and BP cuff if you can.
